  2. Affordable Teeth Whitening

Have you ever thought that you would like to try teeth whitening?

Have you been to the dentist and sat in the waiting room and looked at all the glossy images on the wall with the before and after photos of teeth whitening?

Have you sat there and thought that you would like to try it but were afraid to ask the price?

Many of us have felt like that, as tooth whitening has in the past been very expensive and out of most people’s reach. We have all seen the celebrities on our television screen supporting their dazzling smile and thought it’s all right for them they can afford it.

Thank fully now because the procedures popularity and demand you can now get affordable teeth whitening and it should be out of no one reach.

Our manufacturer who has developed teeth whitening products for over three decades to the dental profession have realised the demand for home use. We appreciate that not every one can afford dental prices and have facilitated affordable teeth whitening that can be used in your own home.

No one needs to suffer the indignity of having to conceal his or her smile due to stained teeth anymore.

The new affordable teeth whitening can be purchased in different strengths according to your needs. The higher the percentage the stronger the gel, so care must be taken by new users to select the right strength. If in doubt always start with a lower strength and work up to a stronger strengths if you so wish. The results of using the lower strength whitening gels as opposed to using the higher strength will be the same. The only difference will be that it will take longer to achieve them using the lower strength, as you will need to make more applications.

The main difficulty when teeth whitening at home could be in trying to shape the tray which is needed to apply the gel to the teeth. As with all things practice makes perfect, and we recommend that you purchase an extra tray just in case you don’t get it correct the first time.

We have taken considerable time to make these affordable teeth whitening products consumer friendly and make sure that you can get the same results as you would if you were to visit the dentist.

They are very easy to use and come with very good step-by-step instructions of how to apply them. You too can have the same results as if you had spent a fortune at the dentist. Affordable teeth whitening is now available to everyone and that is a real incentive to giving us all that lovely smile we all dream about

  3. PEROXIDE TEETH WHITENING

Most people have now come to realise that teeth whitening is a popular treatment for both men and women alike. What some people may not realise are the subtle differences that you can purchase in peroxide teeth whitening and why they are there.

Firstly you can purchase peroxide teeth whitening in many different strengths and you may be wondering why and which strength to use.

We will start with the different strengths of peroxide teeth whitening that you can purchase. It comes in 22%, 35% 36% and mainly for the dental profession 44% strengths.

As you may image the stronger the solution the quicker it will work to achieve your smart bight shiny teeth and you would be right, but that is not all you have to consider. In some cases it would be better to take the slower approach, the same overall outcome will be just the same, but more applications with a weaker solution would need to be applied and it would be more beneficial for some people.

Each person is an individual with there own special needs and if you have not used peroxide teeth whitening before, you have to make a thorough check of your own teeth before you begin.

Ask yourself, are my teeth sound? Have I got any loose fillings and are my gums healthy. For some people as they get older the gums can recede a little, which may cause tenderness if a strong peroxide teeth whitening treatment was used.

Caution is a good practice as no one wants to experience any tenderness.

Start with the weaker solution if you have any concerns and if you find that you have no problems with the weaker peroxide teeth whitening , then you can move on to the stronger solutions.

Another matter that you should bear in mind are the teeth whitening trays, they should be well made. This means that they only cover the teeth and do not cover any part of the gums. If any part of the tray does cover the gum cut the offending part off.

Do not over fill the trays with the peroxide teeth whitening, as this would cause the gel to ouse out. Remember you are trying to whiten your teeth and not your gums.

If any one does experience any tenderness, exposing the gums to the peroxide teeth whitening gel usually causes it. If all these points are adhered to you should have a carefree experience and beautiful shiny white teeth as a result.

  4. ADA Statement on the Safety and Effectiveness of Teeth Whitening Products

For more than a decade, the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs has monitored the development and the increasing numbers of whitening oral hygiene products. As the market for these products grew, the Association recognized a need for uniform definitions when discussing whiteners.

For example, "whitening" is any process that will make teeth appear whiter. This can be achieved in two ways. A teeth whitening product can bleach the tooth, which means that it actually changes the natural tooth color. Bleaching products contain peroxide(s) that help remove deep (intrinsic) and surface (extrinsic) stains. By contrast, non-bleaching whitening products contain agents that work by physical or chemical action to help remove surface stains only.

Teeth whitening products may be administered or dispensed by dentists or purchased over-the-counter (OTC) and can be categorized into two major groups:

    • Peroxide-containing whiteners or bleaching agents; and
    • Whitening toothpastes (dentifrices).

    Peroxide-containing whiteners or bleaching agents

    Dentist-dispensed and OTC home-use products
All of the products in this category that bear the ADA Seal of Acceptance contain 10 percent carbamide peroxide; however, participation in the program is not limited to products of this concentration. There are many whitening options currently available to consumers both from the dentist as well as from retail outlets. The ADA recommends that if you choose to use a teeth whitening product you should only do so after consultation with a dentist.

In a water-based solution, carbamide peroxide breaks down into hydrogen peroxide and urea, with hydrogen peroxide being the active bleaching agent. Other ingredients of peroxide-containing tooth whiteners may include glycerin, carbopol, sodium hydroxide and flavoring agents.

Accumulated clinical data on neutral pH 10 percent carbamide peroxide continue to support both the safety and effectiveness of this kind of tooth whitening product. The most commonly observed side effects to hydrogen or carbamide peroxide are tooth sensitivity and occasional irritation of the soft tissues in the mouth (oral mucosa), particularly the gums. Tooth sensitivity often occurs during early stages of bleaching treatment. Tissue irritation, in most cases, results from an ill-fitting tray rather than the tooth-bleaching agents. Both of these conditions usually are temporary and stop after the treatment.

    Professionally applied bleach whiteners
There are many professionally applied tooth whitening bleach products. These products use hydrogen peroxide in concentrations ranging from 15 percent to 35 percent and are sometimes used together with a light or laser, which reportedly accelerates the whitening process. Prior to application of professional teeth whitening products, gum tissues are isolated either with a rubber dam or a protective gel. Whereas home-use products are intended for use over a two-to-four week period, the professional procedure is usually completed in about one hour. Currently, all of the professionally applied whiteners that have the ADA Seal contain 35 percent hydrogen peroxide, although this concentration is not a requirement of the program.

As with the 10 percent home-use teeth whitening products, the most commonly observed side effects of professionally applied hydrogen peroxide products are temporary tooth sensitivity and occasional irritation of oral tissues. On rare occasions, irreversible tooth damage has been reported.

The ADA advises patients to consult with their dentists to determine the most appropriate treatment. This is especially important for patients with many fillings, crowns, and extremely dark stains. A thorough oral examination, performed by a licensed dentist, is essential to determine if bleaching is an appropriate course of treatment. The dentist then supervises the use of bleaching agents within the context of a comprehensive, appropriately sequenced treatment plan.

    Whitening toothpastes
Whitening toothpastes (dentifrices) in the ADA Seal of Acceptance program contain polishing or chemical agents to improve tooth appearance by removing surface stains through gentle polishing, chemical chelation, or some other non-bleaching action. Several whitening toothpastes that are available OTC have received the ADA Seal of Acceptance.

  5. Teeth Whitening Scams

Teeth whitening is now very popular and rightly so as more and more people enjoy the many benefits from using teeth whitening products.

As with many successful and popular businesses there are, unfortunately, disreputable operators who wish to make a quick buck without providing the service and integrity to the trusting customer.  This inevitably has a negative impact on the good businesses so, with that in mind, and to help our valued customers avoid dealing with the wrong kind of businesses, here are also some pitfalls that Pro Teeth Whitening World would urge you to look out for when buying on the internet.

    1. Is the company that you are looking to purchase from offering something for nothing?  If it’s too good to be true, it usually is.
    2. Are they asking for your bank details and tying you into an expensive monthly contract?
    3. Do they have the necessary contact details on their website , i.e  email or telephone number, so that you can maintain contact with them?
    4. Have you checked the email or telephone number for authenticity?
    5. Do their products have the FDA seal of approval?
    6. Are they selling quality products or just cheap imports?

If any of the above fit the company that you are dealing with, then they are probably a company to avoid.

Nearly every week we at Pro Teeth Whitening World have a new customer who tells us of a horror story involving unscrupulous people dealing with teeth whitening products. Usually they tell us that money is going out of their bank account on a monthly basis and they are having difficulty stopping the payments.  They have absolutely no contact details of the website or a telephone number, so can speak to no one and wonder if we can help them to get out of their contract.

The customer is usually lured in with an offer of a free trial of the company’s products.  They don’t  realise that they  are  signing up to a monthly debit charge to their bank account to purchase more products.

Often these products are of an inferior standard and do not do what the company says they will do.

Obviously we at Pro Teeth Whitening World do not what to create the impression that there are a lot of bogus companies and suppliers out there, this is not the case.  But we do want you to take care in choosing your supplier and be happy and confident in your dealings with them.

Pro Teeth Whitening World and other legitimate, caring and customer orientated companies will always have contact details on our home page and also on the ‘contact us’ page. We will always respond to customer enquiries and make sure that you, our valued customers, will always have absolute confidence in our products and in us.

Our products are safe to use and you can order as much or as little as you require and you only pay for what you receive. There is no hard sell.

There is plenty of information on the site about the products that you are buying and how to use them.

We at Pro Teeth Whitening World are proud of our customer care reputation.

What we all want are happy informed customers, who are pleased with their products and their new smile and are happy to  recommend us to their friends.

  6.

Some Things To Consider Before You Start Teeth Whitening

It has been heard that a day without smiling is a wasted day, but for some this is a reality because they do not feel good about their smile. This can be due to crooked teeth but in most cases it is due to the colour of their teeth. This can be quite quickly and easily remedied but you do need to do some research before you start to make sure that what you intend to do is right for you.

First of all you must realise that there are some limitations. Teeth whitening only works on natural teeth, so crowns and fillings will not be affected. Mostly this kind of work is on the back teeth so you can discard this as many people only whiten the front teeth. . Obviously if you have a crown at the front you will have to think carefully about replacing it so that it matches with the colour of your newly whitened teeth.

Then there is the sensitivity issue. As people get older the sensitivity issue increases, this is mainly due to receding gums and maybe some hairline cracks in the teeth. To over come this you can purchase the teeth whitening gel in different strengths, from 22% up to 36% and even by special order 45%. The higher the number the stronger the gel is and the quicker your teeth will whiten. For some people that would be too much and you can get the same results using the weaker gels but it will take longer.

For most first time users it would be good idea to start with the weaker gel and work up to the stronger gel. If you feel confident that you don’t have any sensitivity issues there is nothing to stop trying the stronger gels and if this works well for you stay with that strength but reduce it if you have any adverse effects.

It is always a good idea to get into the habit of using remineralizing gel after you have whitened your teeth.

Remineralization helps to protect and strengthen the teeth.

Remineralizing Gel: helps with sensitivity and strengthens tooth enamel post bleaching.

  7.  Teeth Whitening Gel

Teeth whitening is becoming increasing popular and now  it is much easier for the general public to be able to afford to have their teeth whitened.

The favourite method of choice for teeth whitening and the easiest and most effective is to use teeth whitening gel.

Teeth whitening gel comes in an easy to use syringe which can be obtained in two sizes either 3 cc or 10 cc and in three strengths 22%, 35% and 36%.

We can also manufacture special strengths if you desire that.

The 10cc size professionally sealed syringe will give you 20 Full Arch Applications or 40 Front Partial Arch Applications.

The strength of the gel you use is a personal choice but the higher the percentage the quicker it will work. Many new users start of using 22% gel and progress to a higher percentage.

We at Pro Teeth Whitening World are very proud to be able to offer teeth whitening gel that is orange flavoured with natural orange oil and a formula that reduces tooth sensitivity.

Our customers tell us that they find our gel the  best they have ever used and that they are very pleased with the results.

They are pleased that we use only the best ingredients under US guidelines and that all our gels have a two year shelf life.

We in turn are pleased to say that we don’t rest on our laurels, we always strive to improve our products and have ongoing research and continuous quality testing so that you our customer will always receive the best possible service.

  8. How to Fit the Teeth Whitening Trays

When you purchase your first teeth whitening kit it comes with two teeth whitening trays. One for the lower set of teeth and one for the top set of teeth.

These trays have to be moulded to your teeth before your can use them for teeth whitening. The better the fit, the better will be your teeth whitening results.

WHITENING STARTER KIT

     FITTING THE TRAYS

In order to make them fit you will need a sauce pan in which you can heat some water.

Once the water is heated it is ready to start the proceeded to fit the trays.

Holding one tray by the tab dip it in the hot water for just a couple of seconds.

Care should be taken not to leave the tray in the water too long as it gets very pliable and soft.

When withdrawing the tray from the water be very careful not to shake it as you don’t want the tray to go misshapen.

The pliable tray should them be placed over either the top or bottom set of teeth and all the air should be sucked out.

This causes the tray to mould over the teeth. Hold this position for a few seconds to allow for the mould to set and when set remove the mould carefully.

It could be a good idea to try the sucking motion before you actually heat the mould so that you have practiced what to do.

Repeat this action  with the next tray over the other set of teeth, you now have your very own moulded teeth trays but they are not quite finished yet.

    EXPERT FINISH

To make the expert finish, using some sharp slim scissors trim of the tab and any part of the tray that sits above the teeth and covers the gum.

The reason for this is so that when in use no gel should go on the gums and cause irritation on the soft tissue

    .

You are now ready to whiten your teeth, just apply a little teeth whitening gel to the inside of the tray and place over the teeth. All that is needed now is to look forward to that celebrity smile.

  9.  Teeth Whitening Instructions

Important information that should be read before anyone uses teeth whitening so that they fully understand what is involved.

    DENTAL WORK

Only natural teeth will be whitened when you use teeth whitening/bleaching. You cannot whiten caps, crowns, fillings, bridges or any artificial dental work. Teeth whitening does not harm any dental work that has been done but you may want to have some work redone in order to match the new whiter colour of your teeth.

The use of antibiotics can stain the teeth and it can be more difficult to remove these stains.

    SENSITIVITY

At some point people can experience a degree of sensitivity. This is quite common when using gels that contain peroxide but it is not harmful. If sensitivity is experienced reduce the time and frequency that you have been using the teeth whitening gel and the sensitivity will subside. It is advisable to keep all bleaching gels out of the reach of children. While using bleaching gels do not eat or drink or smoke and do not use if you are pregnant or a nursing mother.

Teeth whitening gel has a good shelf life of 1 year but this will be doubled if the gel is kept in the fridge.

    USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

If used properly you will experience the least amount of sensitivity.

Before treatment clean your teeth thoroughly by brushing and flossing. The whitening gel works much more effectively on clean teeth. Check that the whitening trays is a good fit and that they are clean and dry. Moisture affects the whitening gel and reduces its efficiency and this can slow down the bleaching capabilities.

    APPLYING THE WHITENING GEL

It is important not to overfill the whitening tray. A small dab of gel placed on the front surface of the tray were there is the imprint of the front teeth will suffice. It is only necessary to whiten the front of the front teeth as no one sees the back. Insert the tray over the teeth keeping a close watch out for any gel that escapes and seeps on to the gums. If any gel does come into contact with the gums remove carefully with either a tissue or your fingers.

    WEARING TIME

For first time users it is recommended not to exceed 30 minutes and if no sensitivity is experienced the time can then be increased.
